I am always researching new techniqes and skills to bring you a better and more professional finished project. I'll get back to worrying about my website as time allows.
Please contintue to check back, in the meantime if you have any questions or comments please let me know.
I will work closely with you, listen to your ideas and provide the creative expertise you need to bring your company or product to life.
The process involved with graphic design varies considerably depending on what type of project your company needs. I have listed below several of the processes required when working on websites, graphics or print media. Please make yourself familiar with this information prior to contacting me.
Step 1 — Information Gathering
A. Budget - Determining your marketing budget. This will be specific to the service(s) you are requesting. This is not a way to get more money of you, it simply allows me to know what services I can provide, which printer to use, what functionality we can add to your website and most importantly, if there are better marketing avenues to approach to reach the most customers with that investment. If you would like more information about how to determine a budget, please contact me.
B. Content - One of the most difficult and time consuming processes when building a website, brochure or other content heavy project is preparing the content. Before I can determine an quote/estimate for your project and a look/feel for the message, I will need to know what I am working with. You have a couple options here; you can develop the content yourself (if you need ideas for this please contact me), or I can refer you to a professional editor who will work with you to develop your message making certain it is professional, informative and clear.
C. Photography - Most projects will also require the use of photography. There are several options here. If you have photos to use, I will need to know how many you are using and they will need to be provided in advance so I can make sure the resolution of the images will work for your project. If you don't have photos or the photos you have are of low resolution or poor quality, I can provide photography, purchase stock photography or put you in contact with a professional photographer, each will involve a different cost structure.
D. Marketing Materials and Other Details - Finally, please provide any other marketing materials you are currently using or have used in the past, information about the customers you would like to reach and any other information you can provide to help paint a picture. If you have a logo, brochures, current website, hosting or a registered domain name, please let me know this in advance. Once we have collected all of the above items, I move forward to develop a quote/estimate for your project.
Step 2 — Quote/Estimate
Once I have received all of the above information, I can develop a quote/estimate detailing out the different factors that will be involved in designing a look/ feel and bringing your message to life. This includes developing the content, any needed photography or editing, a description of the look/feel I will be providing, a time frame for completion and costs involved with your project. Once you approve the estimate, I can move forward to the next phase in the process, research.
Step 3 — Research
The next step involved in my process is the research phase. During this phase I begin by collecting data to help me determine characteristics and demographics of the target market or audience you are targeting. I also research your competition and how they are marketing to potential clients. All the data collected is used in determining layouts, font choices, font sizes, color schemes and photography.
Step 4 — Design and Development
Now is where the fun begins! I get to do what I do best, be creative. As explained in the quote/estimate, I will begin by designing a look and feel for your project. Once I determine this, it will be presented to you, before I move forward, making sure you are completely satified with the direction. Once the look is approved, my next step is to begin the production of the services you have requested, build out any website functionality and finalize the project(s).
Step 5 — File Transfer, Printing or Launch
When everything is accepted and signed off on by you, the final phase is simply to either launch, print or transfer files final files over to you.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the listed steps, please contact me.
